Salt Lake Hawaii Residents

Salt Lake SkylineStop Pollution
It's important for residents of Salt Lake to understand that the community is located inside a crater. Therefore, any pollution caused in Salt Lake or flowing in from Aliamanu Crater will stay in Salt Lake. This causes a terrible smell and very poor water quality in the Salt Lake waterways. That's one reason it's very important not to create pollution.

Click the following links for some Best Management Practices that will help you protect your environment from your own home:

Washing Cars, Parking Lots, Sidewalks and Streets
Grounds Maintenance, Landscaping and Pools

Pollution causes a variety of problems for the environment. Everyone, including you is to blame for this. That's why you must do your part in solving the pollution problem. Residents can do this by just making a few simple changes. Find out how by clicking here. You can also help put together and participate in community cleanups. If everyone works together, we can stop pollution before it's too late. Check the activities page on this site to find out how you can get involved. Help spread the word to everyone you know about ways to keep our waters clean.
